Your factory runs on energy you do not control. Onsite generation puts the price and the supply back on your side of the meter.
The energy problem
Energy is a cost you don't control.
Baseload and heat demand
Processes need power and heat every hour they run.
Grid constraints
Expansion stalls when the site's connection can't supply more capacity.
Fuel-price exposure
Gas, LPG, oil and coal prices move with markets, not with your margins.
Decarbonisation targets
Customers and regulators expect lower-carbon production.
Why onsite generation
Power, steam and fuel from one onsite plant.
A CNP plant supplies electricity and recovered heat behind the meter, or renewable gas that replaces fossil fuel in kilns and boilers.
It is financed, built and operated by CNP, so your team keeps running the factory, not a power station.

Onsite Power
Electricity and heat, behind the meter.
A CNP plant runs alongside your grid connection or as an off-grid microgrid. Recovered heat supplies steam or process heat.

Renewable Gas
Renewable gas for heat and steam.
Biomass converted to renewable gas can fire kilns, boilers and dryers in place of LPG, oil or coal.
Commercial benefits
Why manufacturers choose onsite energy.
Lower
Long-term pricing below your current energy cost.
Capacity without waiting
Add supply at the site rather than waiting on grid upgrades.
Renewable heat
Replace fossil fuel in kilns and boilers with renewable gas or recovered heat.
No capital outlay
Under Energy-as-a-Service, CNP funds, builds and operates the plant.

Your factory
Lower-carbon production
Typical arrangement
- Sized from a site assessment of your load and fuel
- Runs 24/7, alongside the grid or as a microgrid
- Long-term energy agreement with CNP operating the plant

Reference project · Croatia
Continuous onsite power from wood chip and agricultural residues.
The challenge
A region with large volumes of wood chip and crop residues and limited productive use for them.
What CNP delivers
A multi-megawatt biomass plant converting residues into reliable renewable electricity around the clock.

FAQ
Questions from manufacturers.
Can you replace the gas or oil in our kilns and boilers?
Often, yes. Renewable gas from biomass can substitute fossil fuel in many thermal processes, and recovered heat can supply steam.
Do we need to fund the plant?
No. Under Energy-as-a-Service CNP finances, builds, owns and operates it.
Will it disrupt production during installation?
The plant is built beside your operation and connected in a planned tie-in, so disruption is minimal.
What happens at the end of the agreement?
Options include extending the agreement, transferring the plant, or decommissioning. We agree this at the start.
